No strangers
No public profiles, no search, no open rooms. The only people in the chat are the ones you brought into your squad. To the Radio Post.

A six-digit code pairs the device once. No email, no password, no account of their own. To access & devices.

Privacy in the Radio Post
A chat for your family only, where private really means private
One group for everyone, plus messages between two people. We build on trust instead of reading along.
- No strangers, ever: there is no way out of the chat and no way in from outside.
- Between two means between two: private messages are read by the two people involved, siblings included. Not by parents. The server lets nobody else near them.
- No read receipts: two ticks mean delivered, not read.
- The server forgets: after 30 days it deletes the messages. Your own history stays on your devices.

Enforced server-side, not just a button in the app
No child can give themselves stars. That rule lives on our server, not in the app: even a modified device cannot get around it. This is also why reward handovers and money bookings deliberately stay online, so nothing is booked twice or halfway.
Access & devices
Access & devicesA connection code instead of a child login
Your child needs no account of their own. Their profile stays part of your family.
- One-time ranger code: six digits pair a device with the child profile, and then the code is used up. From there on the device carries a long, random key that the server checks on every request.
- Parent accounts instead of child accounts: every parent has their own login, and the child profiles belong to the shared family.
- Siblings cleanly separated: if two kids share a tablet, each one sees only their own missions, stars, and messages. A small maths question stops them from signing each other out.
- Pause a child: if a child needs a break, you put their access on hold without deleting anything.
Data & servers
For a child, a first name is enough
Everything the app stores beyond that only comes into being through use: stars, completed missions, badges.
- Only a first name is required: a nickname will do. A birth date is optional, no address, no email.
- Servers in the EU: your app data is stored with Supabase in the European Union. What that means for push notifications is set out in the privacy policy.
- Private stays private: shopping entries marked private are filtered out on the server, so child devices never see them.
- Take it with you, or delete it: parents download their core data as a file or have the whole family deleted. Details in the privacy policy.
